Saturday snapshots

Tänään aamulla otettiin lyhyitten yöunien jälkeen suunnaksi Espoon saaristossa sijaitseva Gåsgrundin saari. Matkaan lähti paljon syötävää, juotavaa ja luettavaa. Päivä sujui ihanasti ensin veneellä (lautalla?) 1,5 tunnin seilaamisella ja sitten itse saaressa auringosta nautiskellen ja grillaten. Hypättiin viimeseen Kivenlahden lauttaan 16.20 ja kotiuduttiin aika tarkkaan 18:00. Aivan mahtavaa lähiseutumatkailua ja pientä irtiottoa normaaliin kotona makoiluun. Onnistuin myös hieman polttamaan selkäni.. Toivotaan, että punotus on aamulla muuttunut kivaksi rusketukseksi ;) Illalla kävin vielä hyvästelemässä yhden ihanaisen, ja nyt jatkan Greyn Anatomia maratooniani. Alle kaks viikkoa ja tää tyttö on Tanskanmaalla uudet kujeet mielessä ;)

P.S Ens viikonlopulle on myös varattu kaks päivän retkeä, tosin vähän pidemmän matkan päähän.


Today has been a lot of fun. We woke up, after only a few hours of sleep, early and got to the ferry at 8.30. It took us about 1,5 hours to get to Gåsgrund, our final destination. The ferry went about and around the Espoo archipelago from "port" to "port". Once on the island, we found a nice spot between the rocks, with some sand and hardly any breeze. Loads of food, magazines and books took care of our amuzement for this trip. After 5 hours of eating, sunbathing, reading, laughing and napping we took the ferry back to the mainland (for another 1,5 hours). It seems as though I was a bit too sloppy with sunscreen, and got my back slightly burned... Oh well, tomorrow will tell if it turns into a nice tan (which my face is still missing, though the rest of my body is a rather nice shade of "gold")

iPadness

Viikonloppu meni ihanasti ystävien parissa. Hengaillessa, leffaillessa ja drinksuilla istuskellessa. Yritän ottaa ilon irti näistä viimesistä viikonlopuista, viikolla kun tuntuu ettei aika riitä muuhun ku töissä käymiseen, syömiseen, nukkumiseen ja erinäköstem asioiden kanssa tappelemiseen aina asunnon käytännön jutuista kelan ja postin kanssa tappelemiseen. Välillä mietin, että onko mun englanti nyt oikeesti NOIN huonoa, ettei ymmäretä että "apartment number 13" meinaa asuntoa numero 13 , ei asuntoa numero 4...  Ehkä siellä vaan odotellaan helteitä ja kesälomaa? Joka tapauksessa, vuorossa on lisää kavereitten kanssa tapaamista ja catch uppaamista, ja tiedossa olis myös pieni päiväretki Forssaan autoilun ja autojen merkeissä.

Last weekend was really nice, with hanging out with friends, going to the movies and having a few drinks. I'm trying to make most out of my time left here, trying to catch up with everyone etc. Plans include a hot-rod type of event in Forssa and just catching up and enjoying the sun as much as I can. Im still really bad at taking pictures of my everyday life, but slowly getting there ;) Also gonna get easier once I actually have some interesting stuff to post about! 

P.s this is the worst ever, or Im just stupid as fuck. Hate technology! 

Mökillä viimeinkin, voin ottaa iisimmin..

..jeejee. Perjantaina tosissaan otettiin suunnaksi rakkaan veljeni ja tulevan miniäni kanssa Pertunmaa ja oma rakas Honkasaari (tai jos pilkkua nussitaan niin Honkasaaren etelä-niemi). Matkalla jo nähtiin kaikenmoista, oli hinausapua tarvitseva hippipaku ja joku Jyväskylään matkalla ollut urpo ajo rampin ohi ja päätti sitten 4-tiellä 120-alueella vetää uukkarin ja lähteä ajamaan vastakkaista kaistaa takasin. Jepjep. Muuten viikonloppu meni mukavissa merkeissä auringon, hyvän ruoan ja korttipelien parissa. Lauantaina kyykin kurkkas pusikostaan ja pienet sydärit saatiin. Sunnuntaina sama kyynketale ryömi (?) röyhkeesti meiän rantapolun poikki ja poukamaan kivien alle piiloon. Puolen tunnin metsästämisen, noin parinkymmenen ilmakiväärin laukauksen ja petkeleellä huitomisen jälkeen oli kyyltä niskat poikki. Nuoriherra Kiiski päätti sitten pullottaa kyyn ja ottaa sen kotiin mukaan matkamuistona tai voitonmerkkinä, kuka tietää..

Weekend at the summer house/cottage at Pertunmaa's Honkasaari. Sun, good food and card games, thats what good weekends are made of. We also had the "pleasure" of stumbling across a viper twice, on Saturday and Sunday. Well, that bastard is lying headless in a bottle in the room next to mine. My crazy ass brother had to bring it as a souvenir. Time for a picturepuke!

Asumisesta // Accomodatioooooooon

Viikonloppu meni kipeenä sohvan pohjalla. Kauhee hinku olis mökille ollu, mutta ei tässä olotilassa mihkään lähetä. Eli viikonloppu koostuu siis karkista, ruoasta, Greyn Anatomiasta, Harry Potterista, Finnrexistä, köhimisestä, vihreestä räästä ja nukkumisesta. Sama meno jatkuu vieläkin, ja kävin töissä vaan kääntymässä. Joka tapauksessa, asunnon soppari tuli tänään sähköpostilla, ja muutto alkaa hetki hetkeltä stressaamaan entistä enemmän! Aika tarkkaan kuukausi enään aikaa ennen H-hetkeä. Vielä täytyy kaikennäkösiä käytännönjuttuja saada tehtyä, mutta eiköhän se tästä, toivottakaa onnea! Perjantaina kävin Sellossa kääntymässä ja tein muutaman aika mahdin ale-löydön.

I've been running a fever ever since thursday, accompanied with nice green snot.. So my dreams of going to the cottage for the weekend were pretty much destroyed, I was not looking forward to a 3 hour train fiasco with little energy and the feeling you might faint at the next corner. So instead I tackled the sales at Sello on friday evening with my brother, and the rest of the weekend was completely reserved for some sleeping, eating, reading and watching good tv-shows. I'm still not feeling well, so just popped by  at work. The cheer of the day was (finally!) getting my lease contract via email. Can't wait for the 9th and moving in! One more month, and then it's byebye Finland, and hello Herning.

Im absolutely in love with this sweater! And the glitter "roller derby" pants as well.

Now all I need is that bike!

Tulevaisuudesta // The next chapter

Vastavalmistunut, ja askeleen lähempänä kandidaatin tutkintoa. Enempi vähempi 18kk päästä saa tämä tyttö kandidaatin paperit käteen, ja tiiän, että toi aika tulee menemään niiin nopeesti! Viimeset kaks vuotta on mennyt yhessä hujauksessa, ja tiedän, että seuraavat 18kk tulee menemään vieläkin nopeemmin! Nyt on edessä muutto pieneen kaupunkiin; Herningiin aika lailla keskelle Jyllantia eli "maaseudulle" niinkun nää sivistyneet köpisläiset on kiusannut. Maalle tai ei, koulu on kuitenki yks parhaita ja en vois olla enempää innoissani tästä uudesta kappaleesta elämässäni. Seuraavat 6 viikkoa tulee olemaan hirveetä härdelliä muuton ja muiden asioiden kanssa. Kämppä on jo saatu, ja muuttopäiväks on varmistunut 10.8 (koulu alkaa 12. päivä). IIK! Jatkossa päivittelen kuulumisia niin muuton ja koulun suhteen kuin myös uuteen kaupunkiin sopeutumiseen liittyen.

Guess who's a graduate and one step closer to becoming a BA in Branding and Marketing Management? Yup, more or less in 18 months this girl will receive her diploma (and hat?) and be one proud girl, with even prouder parents. These past 2 years in Copenhagen have most certainly been one of the best ones of my life, but now its time to turn a new chapter and move to the countryside (as all you copenhageners have reminded me time after time), to Herning to be precise. Moving date has been set to the 10th of August, and school starts on the 12th. EXCITEEEEEEED!!! I will continue updating about everything, moving, school and getting used to living in a small city.

KBH Picsssss

Partying, BBQ, partying, flying. Not a good combo. With less than 20h of sleep since Thursday, the normal "oh fuck its monday"- feeling was a million times worst. Not to mention the hangover, or the drunken flight... However, the trip was totally worth it! Got my diploma, now I'm officially a Design Technologist in marketing! Got to spend time with awesome people, being away from you guys is the worst! Loads of good food, good company and too much alcohol, thats what awesome weekends are made of. The next 6 weeks will be full of practical stuff, deposits, planning the move, saving up money, actually moving and so on and so forth. I'm totally looking forward to the next chapter of my life, even though it means being away from civilisation and most of my friends&family.
